Who is Canine Chef?

Canine Chef is made up of Lucy and Florent.

With Lucy’s background in Dog training and Dog agility, and Florent’s background in Michelin Star restaurants.

We are both very active, outdoorsy and interested in nutrition and diet. It was a match made in heaven to combine both our experiences and interests into making delicious and healthy bakes, meals and treats for dogs.

Food culinary Baylee (Bassett Hound x Labrador) and Casino (Miniature Poodle) are our inspiration and audience to please.

Our passion is to provide healthy and nutritious options for dogs of all breeds and sizes and for dog owners across the UK to experience the nutritional benefits that Canine Chef creations can bring to dogs diets.

Lucy & Florent

Hi I’m Lucy and I have been competing in dog agility since 2015 with Baylee, where we competed at Crufts in 2019 after winning the semi final at Discover Dogs in London and were CSJ Champions at Grand Finals in the same year. Once Baylee retired I focused on my Miniature Poodle, Casino, and now we are on Team England and Team GB. In May 2024 we competed at the World Agility Open in the Netherlands placing 7th overall in the final of the Pentathlon event, in August we competed at the European Open where we placed top 10 with our team. Following this, we headed out to Belgium in October to attend the Agility World Championships for Agility Team GB. Here we finished 4th in the world for the opening event and overall our team finished 7th in the World.

Having studied to become a Canine Conditioning Coach in 2020-2021 and an all round canine geek, it is my passion to improve the health and wellbeing of my dogs physically, mentally and nutritionally.

Bonjour!! I’m Florent, I have always been around sports and nutrition which ran through my family.

I played in the Football academy in Nice and trained with my Dad and Uncle, I’ve done some Gymnastic and still Rock Climbing with my Mom, Skiing, Snowboarding and Canyoning with my Uncle between the French Alpes and Corsica, play Squash… and learned good and nutritional food with both my Grand-mothers (Italians and Vineyard owners).

Tasty and nutritional food has always been the foundation of my way of living an active life and working long hours in hospitality surrounding by passionate and talented chefs from the French Riviera, to Monaco, Manchester, Birmingham and currently Worcester.

Sharing my passions and knowledge is part of my culture, my education and my job and that’s my goal now being owner of 2 beautiful and very active dogs.

Baylee & Casino

Baylee is a Bassett Hound x Labrador.

She was an agility dog who competed in Crufts in 2019, until she retired and now takes part in Scentwork as well as enjoying a well earned retirement chasing squirrels and bunnies at any possible opportunity!

Baylee, also known under the name of Pumbaa (for Lion King lovers) LOVES FOOD!! Being chief taster, we always know what products are going to last a while because she can eat something without anyone noticing!

Casino is a miniature poodle with more sass than you can imagine!

She is an agility dog competing in Grade 7, on Team England and on Team GB at just 5 years old.

Casino has taught us a lot about the importance of high quality ingredients that are suitable for dogs, as she doesn’t tolerate grain and dairy very well and she has very refine palate.

She’s playing and training a lot, meaning, her needs in energy, nutrients (and naps!) are high.
